CLOVIS - CURRY COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Food Bank's Holiday Food Drive Set for Saturday, Nov. 30, 2010


Clovis - Curry County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.

The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is partnering with Zia Broadcasting and Taco Box for a Holiday Food Drive on Saturday, November 30 from 9 a.m. to Noon at Taco Box in Clovis.

The Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations with support from Zia Broadcasting’s Grant McGee who will be broadcasting live on air during the drive.

The first 100 donors will receive a free breakfast burrito from Taco Box. The Food Bank will be stationed west of the Clovis Taco Box, located at 136 W. 21st Street, to accept food and monetary donations any time between 9 a.m. and noon.

Food can also be dropped off Monday through Friday at the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico, 2217 E. Brady in Clovis.

In its 36th year, the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico distributes more than 1 million pounds of food each year to families and individuals in Curry, Roosevelt, Quay, De Baca and Guadalupe counties in eastern New Mexico.
