Census Bureau: More men than women in Carlsbad in 2017


Of the 28,393 people living in Carlsbad in 2017, 49 percent (13,907) were women and 51 percent (14,486) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the New Mexico Business Daily.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 9,061-to-8,324. In the 65 years and over age range, there were 2,103 females and 1,720 males.
